August decision for Townsquare

As was expected, the Planning Authority will be deciding on the controversial Townsquare project in mid-Summer. This is the same project which has glaring shortcomings in its assessments and which will result in a massive influx of cars in the congested Tigne'-Quisisana peninsula.

The public hearing for the Townsquare 38-storey tower will be held on Thursday 4th August, 2016 at 14:00 hours, at the Project House, Francesco Buonamici Street, Floriana.

Residents, activists and interested persons can participate by booking a place with the Planning Authority on tel:22902020.

Sliema Local Council is a registered objector.

Approval of this proposal will possibly pave the way for other similar proposals around Malta. In the meantime there is eerie political silence. Why publish nice environmental proposals when you don't speak up when it matters?
